Good read, not to mention funny and sad as well. To be honest, I shed a few tears in some of the few pages. I think the author has done quite a good job in capturing the readers’ attention, esp in anticipation on what had actually happened with the kids’ parents. However, the elder child’s actions/thoughts seemed to be too mature for a 6-year old, perhaps it would be better if she had asked or communicated in a more childish way? And like some of the reviews given by readers in Amazon, I do think the ending was a bit rushed as well. It would be better if the author had written more about Sophie being accepted by the children as their new ‘mummy’.
